About

While I love bringing home cookbooks, it is definitely not the most convenient or easy souvenir to pack away.  First off they weigh a lot and they are bulky.  Depending where you are, books can be really expensive but I have found that it is better to buy them in country than track them down when you get home.  I saw a Chilean cookbook that I wanted so I jotted down the title that was ~25 USD at the airport (yes I know, don’t shop at airports).  When I got home and looked it up, I could only find 3 copies and the cheapest 120 USD. Needless to say, I have not bought that cookbook and I am waiting to go back to Chile to get one.  If you love cooking, suck it up and lug that book around.

Disclaimer: I will always give the name of book/magazine and recipe title but I cannot write down the actual recipe here because of copyright laws.  I am lactose intolerant and have other digestive issues so I will document down my recipe modifications and other flavor recommendations as well.
